An apprenticeship is a structured training programme that integrates both practical and theoretical learning in designated trades. Upon successful completion of the programme and the associated trade test individuals are awarded a nationally recognised artisan or trade qualification. This certification enables them to be employed as qualified artisans within both the public and private sectors.
