Job Description

Respiratory Therapist/ICU Permanent Role
  • Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
  • Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM 07:00 AM
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions:
  • Perform and manage respiratory care services such as oxygen and aerosol therapy.
  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation during emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with attending physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
  • Deliver care with excellence adhering to clinical protocols and procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with policies (infection control HIPAA isolation protocols etc.).
  • Promote and maintain a positive work environment with patients and peers.
  • Demonstrate initiative and autonomy to continuously enhance clinical skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement and identify opportunities to improve patient care.
Key Success Factors:
  • General knowledge of respiratory care modalities equipment medications and therapies.
  • Ability to follow care protocols and interpret clinical flow charts.
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills including data entry email electronic medical records and handheld scanning tools.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associates Degree or 2 years of related experience beyond minimum qualification.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of professional experience required (new grads welcome).
  • Certifications/Licensure:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support): Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer.
    • RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner): Must hold an active license from Texas.
    • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist): Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
