Job Description
- Location: Pflugerville TX 78660
- Shift: 8 HR Days 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
Clinical Leadership
- Evaluate all trauma and emergency general surgery consults
- Provide daily rounding for Surgical Trauma ICU (STICU) and Trauma Acute Care Surgery Services
- Offer OR coverage for Trauma Emergency General Surgery and Elective General Surgery cases
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices American College of Surgeons (ACS) standards and institutional protocols
Mission-Driven Initiatives
- Support regional outreach and demonstrate commitment to trauma and emergency surgical services
- Actively participate in national quality programs such as TQIP (Trauma Quality Improvement Program) and NSQIP (National Surgical Quality Improvement Program)
- MD or DO degree required.
- Fellowship training in Trauma Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery.
- Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery or Osteopathic Board.
- Valid Texas Medical License.
- Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in surgical care of trauma emergency general surgery and critical care patients.
- Proficiency in laparoscopic or robotic surgery required.
