Job Description
- Location: Pflugerville TX 78660
- Shift: 07:00 PM 07:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused physical exams and obtain complete medical histories.
- Order evaluate and interpret lab tests imaging and diagnostics to guide treatment decisions.
- Prescribe and manage medical therapies based on protocols ensuring efficacy safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
- Monitor patient progress modify care plans and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions medications nutrition and health promotion strategies.
- Document all care provided and maintain accurate timely patient records.
- Refer patients to specialists when conditions fall outside scope of practice.
- Conduct hospital rounds assist with admissions/discharges and provide on-call coverage as needed.
- Perform minor invasive procedures based on scope of practice and demonstrated proficiency.
- Strong medical knowledge including diagnostics pharmacology and preventive care
- Clinical decision-making and critical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Proficient in use of electronic medical records and medical software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and professional patient interaction
- PA License: Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Texas
- Certification: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- BLS Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer
- ACLS Certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire/transfer
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Physician Assistant Program
- Experience: New graduates accepted (Less than 1 year required)
