Job Description

RN-Emergency Department Contract Role

Location: Oswego NY 13126
Duration: 8 weeks Contract
Open to Local & Travel Candidates

Position Highlights:
  • Shift: 12hr Nights
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 - $2376
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies procedures and protocols of the Emergency Department.
  • Monitor assess and treat patients with acute illness trauma and other urgent medical conditions.
  • Administer medications and initiate IVs as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.
  • Document assessments interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
  • Support patient and family education to ensure optimal care outcomes.
  • Triage patients appropriately according to severity and clinical urgency.
Requirements:
  • Experience: A Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience is required.
  • Education: Diploma or degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Certifications:
    • Current BLS and CPR certification.
    • ACLS PALS IV Therapy Telemetry and Critical Care Courses are required within the first year of employment.
