Job Description

EduTalent Group are supporting a well-established British international school in Myanmar in their search for a Deputy Head of Primary to start in August 2025. This is a senior leadership role within the Primary School offering strategic academic and pastoral oversight.

You will support the Principal in the smooth running of the school taking the lead on academic standards curriculum alignment staff development and pastoral systems. The role includes operational responsibilities such as timetabling duty rosters behaviour systems and event coordination.

This opportunity would suit a current curriculum coordinator or middle leader ready to take the next step or a deputy head looking to broaden their leadership in a growing international setting.

Key duties include:

  • Assisting in the leadership and management of the Primary School

  • Supporting the delivery and review of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum

  • Monitoring teaching standards lesson planning and assessment data

  • Conducting walkthroughs observations and mentoring of staff

  • Managing pastoral care behaviour logs and minor incidents

  • Representing the school at parent meetings and community events

  • Organising timetables supervision schedules and substitute cover

  • Coordinating school events assemblies trips and enrichment programmes



Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in education or equivalent (Master s preferred)

  • Minimum 5 years teaching experience ideally in a British or Cambridge international setting

  • Experience in leadership or coordination roles

  • Strong understanding of the Cambridge Primary Curriculum

  • Excellent interpersonal organisational and communication skills

  • Calm adaptable and proactive approach to school leadership

  • Willingness to mentor others and model professional standards

  • Open to candidates with less leadership experience who are committed to growth
