About the role

For those interested in committing to a professional and aspirational environment that encourages your success and supports your ongoing learning and development we welcome applications for a part-time Teacher of Music & Coordinator of Strings to commence in January 2026 for a 12 month period.

With a 0.36 FTE teaching load you will be teaching classroom instrumental to Years 5 6 and 7 students and as the Coordinator of String (0.2 FTE) you will be responsible for organising and administering the co-curricular Strings Programme for Middle School. The hours of work are split over multiple days due to timetable requirements.

In addition if you would like to engage in further paid work there is the opportunity for one on one instrumental teaching on a casual basis or with an additional agreed salary component based on student enrolment numbers.

About You

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Proven ability to create an exciting learning environment for Middle School students

  • Excellent organisational planning and communication skills

  • Demonstrated capacity or experience in managing and leading music programme staff.

  • A willingness to be actively involved in the Schools pastoral care and co-curricular programmes.

  • Current VIT Registration
