Material Developer (Component Developer in H&M) - Woven

WHAT YOULL DO

As a Component Developer you identify and develop your local market for our sourcing missions. You closely work with T1/T2 suppliers drive material and component development and lead materials and component price negotiations to secure material and component sourced with best options quality price and lead-time aligned with our product strategies and customers expectations.

WHO YOULL WORK WITH

What is Production Its the place where design ideas are transformed into actual products. We are in over 20 sourcing markets and are the direct point of contact for local suppliers. We work to ensure our products are of good quality and produced at the best price and in a sustainable way.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people to

• Identify and develop local market for our product sourcing in line with our product strategies
• Drive material and component development and secure best options quality price and lead-time
• Ensure high-quality sustainable products aligned with brand standards and market expectations
• Maintain and update digital and physical library of material and component
• Interpret trends and concepts into materials and components trends
• Translate design needs into technical solutions
• Educate and develop suppliers get a clear understanding of local capability and minimize risks
• Collaborative and adaptive to teamwork and work closely with various stakeholders (design sourcing sustainability and quality teams) to co-execute the set strategies and activities

AND PEOPLE WHO HAVE:

• Academic background in Textile Engineering
• At least 5 years of working experience in similar role with Woven products
• Solid technical knowledge and experience of material and component development price lead time and quality
• Understanding in material and component capabilities
• Ability to handle various tools and systems
• Sound costing and development/technical knowledge (knitting/weaving/dyeing/finishing) on synthetic/cotton/conscious fabrics/yarn
• Experience in Fabric Development Fabric Sourcing Costing Negotiation Market Insights Fabric Knowledge Collaboration Skill Bulk Readiness to ensure high-quality sustainable products aligning with brand standards and market expectations
• Knowledge in cotton jersey woven is a must
• Business Minded strong sense of responsibility strong communicator ambitious and result driven organized and good at planning
