Job Description
As a Cloud Security Engineer you will play a critical role in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure and applications. You will develop and implement advanced security measures to protect against potential threats.
- Support the development and implementation of cloud security automation solutions ensuring robust protection for cloud-based systems.
- Design and build automation scripts and tools to enhance security measures in cloud environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to integrate cloud security solutions seamlessly.
- Provide support in scripting and automation to streamline cloud security processes and improve efficiency.
- Innovate and improve existing frameworks and methodologies related to cloud security automation.
- Enhance the security posture of cloud-hosted systems through automated solutions and proactive measures.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in cloud security and automation technologies.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD OR 8 years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD OR 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Masters degree in a related technical field.
- Extensive experience with AWS security services and best practices.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes security specifically Amazon EKS.
- Relevant AWS and Kubernetes certifications such as AWS Certified Solution Architect AWS Certified Security Specialty Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with advanced security tools such as AWS Security Hub GuardDuty SumoLogic
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and implementation
