Job Title:Assembler I
Location: Richmond VA
What were looking for:
We are looking for an Assembler I who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assembles complete refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies including tanks canopies base frames hardware kits plenums or other parts as assigned.
This shift will be from 3p - 11:30p with possible overtime.
What youll be responsible for in this role:
- Read and comprehend an A order
- Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly work order/standard work instructions.
- Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection gages tape measures check fixtures calipers or other inspection equipment.
- Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs
- Read rulers tape measures metal squares and other measuring instruments.
- Fasten parts together with bolts screws speed clips rivets or fastenersusing hand or power tools.
- Notifies / communicates with assemblers leads and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification.
- Works at different workstations as production needs require
- Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield
What are the basic qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 0 -2 years of production assembly work
- Previous manufacturing experience
To be a great fit for the role:
- Basic reading/writing skills
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of 6S
- Ability to read and understand all job specifications
- Ability to lift up to 50 poundswith or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis
- May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing bending lifting pushing pulling squatting or kneeling for long periods of time
