Job Title:Assembler I

Location: Richmond VA

What were looking for:

We are looking for an Assembler I who will be responsible for working cooperatively as part of a production team to manufacture and assembles complete refrigeration cases or partial sub-assemblies including tanks canopies base frames hardware kits plenums or other parts as assigned.

This shift will be from 3p - 11:30p with possible overtime.

What youll be responsible for in this role:

  • Read and comprehend an A order
  • Responsible for the assembly or production of component parts into completed subassemblies assemblies or completed units adhering to the assembly work order/standard work instructions.
  • Inspects parts or completed units by using visual inspection gages tape measures check fixtures calipers or other inspection equipment.
  • Perform end of line product checks and/or repairs
  • Read rulers tape measures metal squares and other measuring instruments.
  • Fasten parts together with bolts screws speed clips rivets or fastenersusing hand or power tools.
  • Notifies / communicates with assemblers leads and supervisors or upstream changes to ensure products are to specification.
  • Works at different workstations as production needs require
  • Makes recommendations for in-line and subsequent checks to increase first pass yield

What are the basic qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 0 -2 years of production assembly work
  • Previous manufacturing experience

To be a great fit for the role:

  • Basic reading/writing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Understanding of 6S
  • Ability to read and understand all job specifications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 poundswith or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis
  • May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing bending lifting pushing pulling squatting or kneeling for long periods of time
