Job Description
Matanuska-Susitna College is recruiting qualified applicants for its pool of part-time adjunct faculty. Duties will include instructing students in the course subject matter and developing the course syllabus teaching materials and tests/assessments as needed. Classes may be taught in person online or via web meeting.
Mat-Su College is a community campus of the University of Alaska Anchorage located in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough the fastest growing region of Alaska. Applicants must be available to work within Alaska during the length of the assignment. No relocation expenses will be paid
for adjunct instruction.
To thrive in this role adjunct faculty members must be student-focused with a strong desire to see students succeed in their academic goals. Timely submission of requested information such as grades is expected.

Adjunct positions are hired on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must have expertise and experience relevant to teaching the specific course content. Experience teaching college-level courses is preferred.
Academic Disciplines:
Varies by discipline; typically masters degree or higher in the appropriate academic area or
masters degree with at least 15 graduate hours in field. Experience teaching college-level courses is preferred.
Vocational Disciplines:
Varies by discipline; typically degree or certificate in field with demonstrated experience and expertise sufficient to perform teaching assignment required. Successful applicants must provide official transcripts documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment.
Position Details:
This is a part-time adjunct faculty represented temporary position. New hires will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outlined in the UNAD CBA based on education and is based on the number of previous semesters teaching experience within the University of Alaska.
This is a pooled position which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
