Assistant Athletic Director Gr K-8
Reports To: Athletic Director of Upper School
Full Time 12-Month Exempt Beginning July 1 2025
Job Summary:
This is a twelve-month full-time salary position. This role reports to the Cincinnati Hills Christian Academys (CHCA) Athletic Director of Upper School.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build deep relationships with students in all sports while integrating faith into sports performance.
- Oversee grades K-8 Athletics for each sport.
- Proactively communicate with coaches for in/off-season training as well as with the athletic trainer for injury prevention and recovery
- Must be able and willing to work early mornings evenings and weekends to achieve the objectives of this position. Attend and assist with athletic events throughout the year (Homecoming Meet-the-Team Nights Senior Night etc.)
- Organizing and managing athletic awards.
- Ensuring proper maintenance and security of all athletic equipment and facilities in coordination with the Director of Building and Grounds.
- Ensuring that all coaches have completed/cleared background checks and other required paperwork prior to the start of coaching duties.
- With assistance from coaches ensure the proper distribution collection cleaning repair and storage of all athletic equipment.
- Ensuring that all student school MVC and OHSAA paperwork is in order/correct and all participant eligibility is confirmed prior to the season start.
- Working knowledge of OHSAA rules and guidelines to ensure CHCA Athletics maintains compliancy.
- Maintaining and revising the athletic handbook/coaching manual before the start of each new school year.
- Organizing filing and tracking all warranty information and maintenance records.
- Administering post-season survey.
- Collaborate with the Athletics Director Upper School leadership and Admissions in planning Advancement events (Open House New Family Tailgate etc.)
- Communicate broadly and regularly to all parents/students about CHCA Athletics and important logistical information.
- Help to assure full utilization of the CHCA Athletics website and social media.
- Touchpoints with coaches to effectively build relationships as well as develop their coaching skills

- Must have proven success as a creator and maintainer of an institutional culture of excellence including the utilization of ones own intellectual organizational motivational and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality

Duties require strength to lift boxes up to 40 pounds and stamina to be on feet for 8 hours on event days.
Weekend and evening hours as necessary to support events.
