POSITION SUMMARY

The Training Coordinator supports the CHS mission by planning coordinating and directing professional developmentprograms for the Center for Human Services (CHS).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Training Coordinator you will:

  • Build a competent and qualified workforce by coordinating and conducting live training sessions (in-person and remote) including Adult CPR First Aid and other required and optional trainings offerings; collaborating with departmental leadership in creating operational departmental and positional training programs; coordinating training and conducting training through a variety of modes including demonstration lecture simulation role-play and computer-based to groups or individuals; Lead training initiatives by directing training or assisting instructors and supervisory personnel in course content and effective training/instruction techniques; developing and utilizing contemporary instructional methods; organizing developing and maintaining materials in support of training programs including manuals reference libraries multimedia visual aids handouts etc. ensuring materials are current and adequate for purpose; monitoring recording and reporting trainee progress and completions; maintaining records for compliance and auditing same; creating and distributing training calendars to internal and external stakeholders
  • Advance training efficiency and effectiveness by reviewing evaluating and analyzing training data and reporting on same; preparing recording and reporting on training effectiveness revising as necessary; actively seeking the latest developments methods and techniques in the training and development field; and coordinating training-related communications including those regarding course changes cancellations or schedule updates
  • Ensure staff support by helping the Training Supervisor in development implementation and training materials; recommending and administering established policies and procedures to enhance operations; and collaborating with departmental management and other relevant parties to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training
  • Strengthen workplace culture by evolving training for the support of inclusion diversity equity and accessibility initiatives to contemporary standards and collaborating with Employee Engagement Generalist on same; promoting a positive work atmosphere and culture demonstrating trust respect responsiveness efficiency teamwork and ethical conduct.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Associates degree plus two years of experience or combination of education and experience equal to four years
  • Mandt System Instructor preferred
  • CPR & First Aid Instructor preferred
  • Experience creating trainings and developing training programs
  • Knowledge of Paycom platform preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred
  • Valid drivers license
  • Reliable licensed and insured vehicle

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift carry squat bend move push or pull sit or stand for long intermittent periods
  • Type on a keyboard for long periods
  • View a computer screen for long periods
