Job Title - SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 8.30am-4pm
Start Date: September 2025 (trial days before end of term)
Job Duration: Full academic year 2025-2026
Job Location: Washington UK NE38
Education World are working on behalf of a primary school in Washington NE38 to supply a member of staff to work with a Reception aged child going into year 1 in September 2025.
The role has materialised as a result for additional support for this child. They have an EHCP plan and quite significant need. There are no apparent behavioural issues but he does have severe Autism and needs a bespoke curriculum that the successful candidate would be expected to deliver and feedback on to the class teacher and SENDCo. experience of delivering bespoke curriculums is preferable but not necessary. The child is almost non-verbal and uses alternative communication methods. Experience of working with non-verbal children is preferred.
Candidates are expected to have a proactive attitude within the role staying resilient in the face of communication issues as well as a DBS on the Update Service. Formal qualification of SEN experience or Early Years experience not necessary but preferable including lived experience of speech and language issues
