Job Description

In this key role we need your exceptional interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to drive a highly specialised response for young people and adults who are impacted by the trauma of sexual violence and family violence. Youll provide trauma informed counselling and will work collaboratively with clients their families and key agencies across the Mt Isa/Gulf region helping champion our human and child rights-based approach.

In this full time permanent position youll work in partnership with a team that includes Family Support Specialists a Childrens Counsellor community and other service providers to support the recovery healing and restoration journey of young people and adults accessing the service. Based ideally in Mount Isa with regular travel throughout the region including Mornington Island and Normanton youll be a key member of our Gulf team and will report to your Team Leader.
