Summary: The Laundry Attendant is responsible for receiving sorting processing drying/pressing folding and stocking all linens and terry such as sheets blankets robes bedspreads towels and napkins.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and sort incoming laundry items from resort departments
- Load and unload washers and dryers
- Fold dry linens and terry
- Run napkins through the press
- Restock the shelves with clean linens
- Sweep and mop to maintain working area clean
- Promptly report to supervisor any malfunctions of the equipment
- Sort out and report any damaged/stained linens or terry
- Attend scheduled meetings and training as required by management
- Maintain regular attendance as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing a clean and pressed proper uniform and name tag when working
- Employees must at all times be attentive friendly helpful and courteous to guests managers/supervisors and fellow employees
- Employee must maintain a positive attitude and work as a team with fellow co-workers at all times
