  • Full time permanent role
  • Geelong or Melbourne office location (with alternative office travel required) with flexible hybrid working

About the role

The Manager Behavioural Programs and Insights is responsible for overseeing the management of TACs funded road safety enforcement activities as well as providing sound behavioural advice on TAC marketing and communications campaigns behavioural research and behavioural programs.

The TAC works closely with Victoria Police and the Department of Justice and Community Safety to help make Victorian roads safer. Along with investing in enhanced enforcement initiatives with Victoria Police the TAC also invests in equipment to improve and maximise road safety enforcement in innovative and efficient ways. Behavioural insights and theoretical knowledge are required to inform the development and evaluation of road safety messaging and campaigns

About the Team

You will join the Behaviour Education and Community branch within the Road Safety division a team dedicated to designing and delivering initiatives that reduce road trauma across the state.

Reporting to the Director Behaviour Education and Community you will be supported and empowered to lead a small team of specialists collaborating to create impactful behavioural programs and research that enhance road safety outcomes.

What were looking for

Qualified and Experienced in Behavioural Strategy

You hold tertiary qualifications in psychology or a related discipline and bring demonstrated experience in developing leading and delivering behavioural strategies programs and initiatives in complex environments.

Interpersonal and Strategic Leadership

Youre an experienced leader with excellent people management skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. You provide high-level advice to stakeholders and guide your team in delivering outcomes aligned with broader road safety goals.

Project and Communication Expertise

Skilled in end-to-end project management including scoping budgeting risk management and evaluation. You also bring advanced written and verbal communication skills with experience tailoring content for diverse audiences and navigating politically sensitive environments.
