Job Description

Note:This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Brookfield CT office.Note:You must have 3 years of experience managing chemical or industrial manufacturing operations. If you do not meet this requirement please do not schedule a call as it will be canceled.

Their Brookfield CT facility plays a key role in delivering premium-quality chemical products supported by a dedicated and experienced operations team.

Job Description

  • Lead daily operations across chemical handling packaging scheduling and shipping
  • Supervise a team of 3040 employees and oversee all aspects of production efficiency and safety
  • Implement and enforce OSHA DOT and internal safety standards
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase throughput and reduce waste
  • Manage raw materials packaging inventory and production planning
  • Conduct audits and implement corrective actions for quality and safety issues
  • Use KPIs and operational data to monitor and improve performance metrics
  • Train team members on best practices in safety quality and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment and process upgrades
  • Report to the Site General Manager and contribute to strategic planning

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations management in a chemical or industrial environment
  • Proven experience working with hazardous chemicals and strict safety compliance
  • Strong leadership background with experience managing 30 direct reports
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. D365) and inventory tracking tools
  • Strong communication process improvement and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA DOT and EPA regulatory requirements
