Building Principal/Custodial Supervisor
OF ASSIGNMENT
Maintains district cleaning standards for the custodial crew to insure a clean sanitary comfortable and safe building. Will plan work with and evaluate the work which is to be accomplished by other custodians within the plant.
FUNCTIONS
Typical Work:
for all housekeeping services of the facility: Empties trash cans cleans
chalkboards and chalk trays cleans restrooms and classrooms dusts and spot mops
tiled floor areas cleans furniture vacuums and spot cleans carpeted areas bonnets
and extract carpets when needed cleans sinks cleans window fills all types of
dispensers and empties pencil sharpeners straightens student desks dusts high and
low changes light bulbs only when more than one custodian is present changes
classroom trash can liners cleans drinking fountains washes walls preps and applies
floor finish to tile floors when needed preps and applies finish and maintains wooden
floors where needed sweeps stairwells entryways and thresholds cleans all
custodial equipment at end of shift.
for minor repairs to building and equipment: Changes air filters repairs
classroom furniture plans and works with custodian(s) to maintain buildings and
grounds to district standards performs routine painting of wall surfaces where and
when needed performs routine daily maintenance of boiler system if applicable
regulates temperature humidity and ventilation within the plant performs minor
repairs to protect the facility from damage performs additional duties related to
housekeeping.
within established procedures to safeguard and operate the facility: Orders
supplies in sufficient quantity and type to maintain proper operation of plant works
within the established custodial budget assigned to the facility responsible for
building security responds to emergencies after duty hours as needed renders
assistance to maintenance personnel when requested responsible for maintaining
records and files connected with the operation and safeguarding of the plant
responsible for conducting various checks and sending reports to the Custodial
Services office within established time frames or as requested responsible for work
orders and vandalism reports set-up and tear-down for special events in the building
read utility meters.
Responsibilities: Plans directs and works with custodian(s) within the
facility. Provide input to evaluate custodian and substitute custodians assigned to
the facility.

Also performance of more difficult and responsible tasks may be required to aid in the development of the employee for future advancement.
QUALIFICATIONS
and Experience
school diploma or equivalent (GED).
be in the existing Chief Custodial Trainee Program and a secondary level
assistant chief custodian.
able to perform the duties demanded of a custodian.
as a custodian (sweeper).
in the minor repair of electrical plumbing and carpentry areas.
be flexible to hour or shift changes to provide service for school functions
completion of district standard custodial classes.
and Licenses
completion of fingerprint and background check.
Washington State drivers license and proof of automobile insurance.

CONDITIONS
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Employee may be exposed to inclement weather dust fumes dirt bleach and other industrial cleaning chemicals chalk loud noises heights mechanical equipment sharp objects and infectious diseases. Physical exertion is required and employee may be required to stand for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to bend squat twist walk reach climb push/pull 60 pounds lift 50 pounds and have ordinary skill and speed using fingers hands and limbs.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Employment with Clover Park School District is conditional pending completion of a Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation fingerprint background check as required by RCW28A.400.303. (NOTE: All associated background check fees are the employees responsibility.) The fingerprint scan must be completed prior to the first day of employment.
