Job Description
Bridgeport CT Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Nursery - Full-time

Hospital: St. Vincents Medical Center 2800 Main Street Bridgeport CT 06606-4201
Position details:
Full time newborn nursery and hospital pediatric coverage
Schedule:
Six (6) weekday shifts and two (2) weekend shifts per four (4) week cycle
There are thirteen (13) cycles per year
Each shift is twenty-four (24) hours
For weekday shifts physician must be on-site at the hospital between 5:00PM - 10:00AM of each twenty four (24) hour shift and available via phone between 10:00AM 5:00PM
For weekend shifts physician must be on-site at the hospital for the entire twenty-four (24) hour shift
Hospital coverage includes rounding on newborns attending c-sections (both scheduled and emergent) managing photo therapy occasional pedi consults to E.D. or floors and stabilization of newborns for transport
- Faculty opportunity with Quinnipiac University teaching med students
- Support from neonatologists 24/7
No circumcisions
Hospital averages over 1000 deliveries annually
