Position Overview:
The Portfolio Analyst & Trader will be a member of the Securitized Products team which manages over $23 billion in assets and will play a pivotal role in supporting Neuberger Bermans securitized products investment person will work closely with members of the Securitized Products team to drive the teams investment decision-making and strategy implementation for securitized credit role will report to the teams senior Portfolio Managers in support of the broader Multisector and Investment Grade Fixed Income platform which manages over $120 billion in assets. This role can lead to opportunities to grow within the team and the broader Neuberger Berman fixed income business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and implement investment ideas across covered sectors in the securitized products universe
Perform fundamental quantitative and qualitative research to develop actionable investment recommendations
Perform timely relative value and technical analysis
Collaborate with colleagues to analyze macro factors and broad market dynamics that have implications for investment strategy
Conduct surveillance and performance analysis on securitized credit instruments
Cultivate and maintain relationships with sell-side sector analysts bankers traders issuer management teams and rating agencies
Experience & Skills Qualifications:
Demonstrated passion for and interest in financial markets and investments
1-5 years of relevant investment-related experience. Ideally CMBS ABS or RMBS research experience (sell-side and/or buy-side experience)
Strong written and verbal communication skills sufficient to share ideas and influence portfolio outcomes along with Portfolio Managers and colleagues
Hard-working and proactive with the ability to independently evaluate investment ideas and take ownership of investment performance
Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize this information into actionable investment ideas
Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong academic credentials and achievement
Candidate must obtain SIE Series 7 and 66 within six months of joining
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $100000-$150000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employees pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location business sector performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics market benchmarking data any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus which along with base salary and retirement contributions is part of our total comprehensive package.
