Description
This is a 12-month nonexempt position which is a pay grade 2 on the salary schedule. The primary purpose of this position is to assist tradesmen and other facilities staff in all aspects of physical plant operations including facilities and grounds maintenance.
Examples of Duties
Ability to read and follow instructions. Must be skilled with the use of common tools and equipment used in various trades associated with Physical Plant operations. Basic math and computer skills are a must. Must have the initiative to work alone and proceed with assigned task. Scheduled shift may vary.
Typical Qualifications
High School Diploma and/or GED along with minimum of one year vocational or technical training required.
One year of directly related work experience may be substituted for post-secondary training.
Must have valid drivers license.
Position requires ability to lift objects 25-50 pounds and willingness to work in adverse conditions.Supplemental Information
