Job Description
Immediate Chief Engineer position in Broomfield!
Interview and start as soon as possible!
Pay: $50/hr!
Job Summary:
Leads the engineering operations for a critical environment/data center ensuring optimal performance safety and cost-efficiency across all building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage operating and capital budgets; track expenses and justify variances.
-Oversee and schedule operating engineers; track payroll and control overtime.
-Conduct regular inspections; address equipment repairs and replacements.
-Enforce safety fire protection and emergency procedures; coordinate with civil authorities.
-Support tenant construction and capital improvement projects.
-Implement and train staff on energy management practices.
-Ensure compliance with accounting procedures and vendor bidding standards.
-Oversee testing logging and maintenance of building systems.
-Maintain adequate inventory of tools and supplies; evaluate vendor performance.
-Bid and manage MEP service contracts to ensure quality and cost control.
-Develop and implement emergency procedures and operational policies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
-Hire train and supervise operating engineers.
-Assign tasks evaluate performance and manage disciplinary actions.
-Resolve staff issues and maintain compliance with company policies and labor laws.
Required
*Three to five years supervisory experience or experience as an Assistant Chief Engineer.
*Must possess a thorough knowledge of building HVAC electrical plumbing automation and life safety/fire protection systems.
*Must have a thorough understanding of all building related codes and standards
*Must be able to professionally interact with tenants and contractors.
