As part of our Manufacturing team youll help build the world-class state-of-the-art smart vehicles were known for. In our plants around the world were constantly developing new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency. Youll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love.

The Stamping Area Manager oversees manufacturing output in both the Stamping and Sub-Assembly areas ensuring alignment with plant targets and key performance metrics.

In this position...

You willleverage your extensive knowledge of stamping processes strong mechanical aptitude and solid business acumen in driving operational efficiency and fostering a culture of excellence across the shop floor.



Responsibilities

What youll do...

  • Implement the Ford Production System operating systems and processes to global manufacturing standards
  • Spearhead and lead attainment of business results
  • Drive operational efficiency and foster a culture of excellence across the shop floor
  • Remove internal barriers by getting resources and aligning objectives and systems
  • Lead transformation and change management efforts
  • Develop organizational capability through coaching and development of Leaders as Teachers at all levels of the organization. Ensure employees receive the necessary training coaching and experiences to raise their performance level and advance the organization
  • Work with cross functional teams to attain KPIs and meet production goals


Qualifications

Youll have.

  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree
  • Experience: 4 or more years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of stamping processes strong mechanical aptitude and solid business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proven commitment to continuous improvement
  • MS Office skills
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams
  • Validated ability to interface with plant hourly salaried personnel and plant management
  • Proven ability to present in front of senior management
  • Ability to teach Ford Production System principles
  • Competent in the use of data for decision making
  • Able to work well under pressure and be manage critical issues when necessary
  • Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment

Even better you may have...

  • Bachelors degree in engineering
  • 6 or more years of stamping experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Six Sigma green belt
  • LEAN Manufacturing experience
  • Tenure working in a union environment
  • Strong analytical skills and quick decision-making capability
