Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented proactive and problem solver that will thrive at multi-tasking in a dynamic warehouse/foreign trade zone environment to join our Operations Team in Miramar Florida.

Job Summary:

The FTZ Administrator is responsible for overseeing and managing all activities related to the operation of a Foreign Trade Zone. This includes ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations maintaining accurate records coordinating with internal departments and external partners and optimizing FTZ benefits for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all FTZ regulations and U.S. Customs requirements.
  • Maintain and update FTZ inventory control and recordkeeping systems (ICRS).
  • Prepare and submit required documentation such as e214s CBPF 216s and annual reports.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers freight forwarders and government agencies.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory movements in and out of the FTZ.
  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits by CBP or other regulatory bodies.
  • Train staff on FTZ procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve FTZ operations and reduce costs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for FTZ-related inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • 3 years of experience in FTZ operations customs compliance or international trade.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and FTZ procedures.
  • Proficiency in FTZ software and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelors degree in International Business Supply Chain Logistics or related field.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or similar certification.
  • Familiarity with bonded warehouse operations.
