THE ROLE & THE TEAM
The Sports & Beauty Engineering team is looking for a talented Senior Full Stack React Native Software Engineer who has a passion for growing building applications and solving problems with a customer centric mindset.
Our team consists of a mix of Software Engineers Product Managers and Designers with the mission of maximising our impact on Zalandos customer journey to bring innovation and improvements to Zalandos Sports and Beauty experience.
As a Full Stack Engineer you will work closely with Product Managers Designers and Software Engineers to identify what our customers need most design the solution to solve these challenges and take full ownership of developing it from changing existing applications to creating new ones when needed. You will have the opportunity to solve problems using technologies like React React Native TypeScript Golang Scala Java Kubernetes PostgreSQL AWS Stack event based architectures and much more. Collaborate with designers to create visually appealing interfaces that meet user needs and brand guidelines Work closely with product managers and backend engineers to integrate frontend components with backend APIs and databases Ensure the client applications are optimized for speed and performance including minimizing load times and maximizing interactivity Write clean modular and maintainable code that can be easily understood and modified by other team members Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other team members Stay up-to-date with the latest frontend technologies and trends and bring new ideas and solutions to the team Ensure the client applications are accessible to all users including those with disabilities Test and debug frontend components to identify and fix issues that arise during development Document technical specifications and provide support to other team members as needed Must Haves: Strong proficiency in JavaScript TypeScript HTML CSS and Experience with modern frontend frameworks React and React Native Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and collaboration skills Experience with version control tools such as Git Commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement Nice to have: Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) Familiarity with backend technologies such as APIs and databases Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) principles Familiarity with design tools such as Figma Willingness to mentor and guide junior team members Knowledge of web analytics tools and methodologies Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker If you think you have what it takes we encourage you to apply even if you dont meet every single requirement.
