About the role
Are you passionate about empowering nurses and improving aged care across Australia
Exciting opportunity for a Clinical Facilitator to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our Registered Nurse (RN) Capability Development Programan exciting new initiative at Calvary Aged Care.
This is your chance to drive meaningful change by supporting the clinical growth of RNs ensuring they are equipped to deliver safe high-quality person-centred care. You will be at the forefront of this national program helping design coordinate and evaluate cutting-edge training that reflects best practice evidence-based care and Calvarys mission and values.
This is a 12-month fixed term position with regular travel throughout Victoria. Youll report directly to the National Learning Services Manager and work alongside passionate professionals dedicated to shaping the future of aged care.
Some of your main duties will include:
- Co-design and implement a robust forward-thinking training program for RNs.
- Deliver engaging high-impact education across multiple formatsface-to-face bedside and online.
- Mentor and coach program participants guiding them through competency assessments and their professional development journey.
- Collaborate with internal teams and aged care sites with travel primarily focused on launching the pilot in Victoria.
- Contribute to the creation of training resources for a national aged care capability development initiative.
About you
Essential Criteria
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Minimum 3 years clinical experience in acute and/or aged care settings.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122) with strong knowledge of competency-based assessment and adult learning principles.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical education and/or facilitation within healthcare.
- Solid understanding of aged care standards best clinical practices and training development methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders including facility managers staff and learners.
- Tech savvy and comfortable delivering education across various formats
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Australia particularly within Victoria.
- Unrestricted drivers licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in instructional design including blended or online learning development.
- Knowledge of AN-ACC funding model and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
