About The Role: The Shift Supervisor is a hands-on first-level production supervisor responsible for leading coordinating and planning the activities of production staff to ensure the safe and efficient manufacturing of products meeting production targets schedules quality and cost standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervises and Develops Teams: Leads coaches and appraises production staff managing all personnel actions to ensure a safe efficient and high-quality production environment aligned with company values
Manages Production Schedules: Collaborates with management and other departments to prioritize production create daily assignments optimize staffing and coordinate with maintenance and supply chain to meet targets
Ensures Quality and HSE Compliance: Enforces all safety quality and housekeeping standards interprets specifications and takes immediate action to address any hazardous or unsafe situations
Monitors and Reports Performance: Maintains production monitoring systems reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and works with the Production Manager to achieve set targets
Drives Continuous Improvement: Actively contributes to and leads continuous improvement initiatives including problem-solving groups to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
5 years experience in chemical manufacturing with a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
