Job Description
Corporate Communications Product Designer/Business Analyst
Corporate Communications enable the sharing of corporate strategy news and events with employees retirees and media. The applications in the department include the @FordOnline employee portal and the From the Road website. The team has full-stack development responsibility for @FordOnline and From the Road building and maintaining the web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
Looking for a Product Designer/Business Analyst to design and develop product concepts and specifications that reflect Communication team needs aligning with technical and business requirements. This individual will:
- Identify and validate user pain points and opportunities with the team to provide impactful solutions
- Research imagine and design highly usable and intuitive solutions to solve users problems that align with desired business outcomes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in solving business needs
- Take an active role in maintaining and enhancing the web applications and ensure that they operate according to defined requirements
- This is a hybrid role where the individual will perform a combination of product design and business analysis tasks
Responsibilities
What youll do
- Plan and conduct research to gather data and discover problems through user and stakeholder interviews
- Iteratively hypothesize and discover new opportunities for the customers needs/desires aligning with business objectives and technical standards
- Seek continuous feedback emphasizing the importance of research driven product decisions
- Plan and conduct idea generating sessions and facilitate prioritization of relevant ideas
- Engage with the Product Owner and team to prioritize and define product strategy and roadmaps
- Collaborate with technical peers (Product Managers Product Designers Software Engineers Architects and vendors) to design and validate technical approaches and designs
- Develop relationships and maintain knowledge of the ecosystem answering questions and clarifying requirements as required
- Assist in systems/QA testing triage and debugging sessions for issues/enhancements and help track product and data quality metrics
Qualifications
Youll have...
- Bachelors Degree
- 3 years iof expereince of gathering and analyzing requirements and designing software prototypes to support product development
Even better you may have...
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- Good communication and collaboration skills in working with cross functional global teams
- Understands design principles and tools
- Uses UI/UX design practices to advocate for the customer and help the team evolve the product
- Expereince with Adobe Experience Manager
- Knowledge and experience with the Ford Design System/Ford Motion
- Knowledge and experience with Figma design tool
- Familiarity with research assets (journey maps affinity walls empathy maps storyboards personas etc.) to capture learning and communicate the immersive customer experience with the team and other stakeholders
- Convey design requirements and specification details to the team
- Communicates how design incorporates both customer and business value
- Analytical and critical thinking to break down complex problems analyze data and evaluate potential solutions
- High degree of initiative self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
- Team player
- Experience in cloud platforms

This position is Salary grades 5-8
