The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of now one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
We are recruiting for a Therapy Assistant to join our new Community Allied Health Professional Team based at our Outstanding CQC rated Hospice in Bradford
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale aligned withAFC BAND 3 24625 to 25674 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term 2 years
Hours: Full Time 37.5 hours per week
Based: Marie Curie Bradford Hospice and surrounding community

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapy Assistant to support the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy teams within the new Allied Health Professional community team. This role involves working in the local community either in patients homes or care homes with patients who have palliative and end of life care needs.
Following assessments by Senior Therapists the focus will be on providing ongoing interventions based on written care plans and patient-centered needs. The primary goal is to help patients maintain or improve their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
The post holder will need to liaise with all service providers involved in the patients care as required. The role includes duties in the local community either in the patients home or care home which may or may not involve direct supervision.
