MLS Specialist (Cyber Data & Privacy Paralegal)

12 month contract

Birmingham Edinburgh Glasgow Leeds or Manchester

Role Overview

Vario is a market leading alternative legal services provider within the law firm Pinsent Masons. It is unique in the legal sector. Vario is a practice group within Pinsent Masons which incorporates; Flexible Services Consulting and Technology Legal Project Management and Managed Legal Services (MLS). This role sits within our MLS team and will be a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal or Senior Paralegal to join our Cyber Data & Privacy specialist team within MLS. The successful candidate will report into a Delivery Manager and support our MLS Delivery teams in ensuring that we are delivering a world class legal service to our practice groups and externalclients. Responsibilities will include:

  • Working as a subject matter expertthis role will support our lawyerswith a variety of more complextechnical work in their area ofexpertise as well as clientrelationship activity
  • Leading delivery of small-mediumscaleprojectsand lower complexitymatters incollaboration with LPMsand/orpractice group fee earners
  • Supervise andquality checkthework of more junior colleagues
  • Mentor junior members of the teamand support their upskilling
  • Support the Senior Specialistand theDelivery Manager to develop andimplement new Cyber Data & Privacy work services and solutions

Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm however we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of working on Cyber Data & Privacy work/matter types including DSARs ROPAs and cyber breaches
  • Broad experience of working in a large commercial law firm
  • Understanding of levels of service and technical capability required to support demand
