Job Description
- Location: Round Rock TX 78665
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Conduct detailed patient assessments and prioritize care for mother and newborn.
- Develop implement and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during all stages of labor and delivery.
- Educate patients and families on labor delivery postpartum recovery and newborn care.
- Maintain therapeutic and professional relationships with patients families and colleagues.
- Accurately document patient care and learning needs in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support staff to ensure quality care delivery.
- Delegate appropriate tasks and follow up for patient safety and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement peer development and community outreach efforts.
- Strong knowledge of maternal-fetal nursing practices medications and interventions.
- Understanding of labor and delivery nursing standards and legal regulations.
- Effective critical thinking prioritization and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain professionalism empathy and patient confidentiality.
- Basic computer proficiency (EMR Microsoft Office secure email scheduling systems).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas.
- BLS certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
