This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday 9 AM to 6 PM CT 1 hour unpaid break
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately input and/or delete patient demographic and medical data into the clinic s electronic health records (EHR) system.
- Update and maintain patient files ensuring all information is current and complete.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy regulations (e.g. HIPAA).
- Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate data entry.
- Perform routine data audits to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in generating reports and statistics as requested by management.
- Perform other administrative duties as required to support clinic operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in medical administration or data entry preferred.
- Proven experience in data entry preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems or other clinic software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors or inconsistencies in data.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is an advantage.
