We are looking for a Travel Consultant who is responsible for coordinating and managing all travel arrangements for locum doctors across Australia particularly those assigned to rural and regional locations. This role ensures travel is booked accurately efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
What You ll Do
- Arrange end-to-end travel: flights car hire train/bus transport and accommodation
- Rebook or reroute travel promptly to minimize disruptions to locum placements
- Proactively manage bookings during events such as natural disasters weather disruptions or airline strikes
- Adjust bookings in response to scheduling changes cancellations or emergencies
- Secure accommodation aligned with placement schedules and location requirements
- Liaise with providers (hotels serviced apartments Airbnb etc.) to ensure availability and manage late check-ins upgrades or changes
- Maintain cost-effective booking strategies within approved budgets
- Ensure all travel meets OH&S and insurance requirements for medical staff
- Prepare and distribute complete travel packs (itineraries e-tickets contact info travel policies)
- Maintain detailed and accurate records for audit and billing purposes
- Use travel booking platforms agency tools and CRM to manage itineraries
- Keep internal systems updated with live travel status
- Generate and deliver weekly/monthly travel reports to recruitment and operations managers

Education:
Bachelors degree in Tourism Management Logistics Operations Management or Healthcare Administration or any related field
