- Develop validate and maintain discrete-event simulation models of the car assembly line focusing on throughput buffer sizes workstation performance and resource utilization.
- Analyze production data cycle times and line layouts to identify bottlenecks inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Run what-if scenarios to evaluate design alternatives shift plans equipment changes or new model integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production quality logistics and engineering) to incorporate real-world constraints into simulation models.
- Present simulation results and actionable recommendations through detailed reports charts and interactive visualizations.
- Support capacity planning layout changes new line installations and product launch readiness through simulation analysis.
- Provide training and documentation for stakeholders on simulation tools and findings.
Qualifications :
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Operations Research or related field.
Experience:
57 years of experience in manufacturing simulation preferably in automotive or discrete assembly environments.
Hands-on experience with simulation tools such as Tecnomatix Plant Simulation FlexSim Simul8 or AnyLogic.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of assembly line operations lean manufacturing and throughput analysis.
- Proficient in interpreting CAD layouts process flow charts and production data.
- Familiarity with Python VBA or SQL for data handling and automation (preferred).
- Ability to communicate complex simulation outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking problem-solving and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with vehicle assembly line planning or digital factory projects.
