What You Get to Do:
A Lead Direct Support Professional is responsible for the coordination of services to the individuals served including finance medical recreation program services family contact/involvement education and household management. A Lead provides direct support positive direction instruction and assistance to individuals with mental intellectual & developmental and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
- Provide hands-on assistance encouragement mentoring and guidance.
- Coordinate services for the individuals served including finance medical recreation program services family contact/involvement education and household management
- Ensure the comfort safety and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around getting in and out of bed dressing bathing personal hygiene and more.
- Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
- Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
- Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks games and social events.
- Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
- Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
- Document progress milestones and action steps.
