Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following:

  • Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.  Advise management of any deviations from this program.
  • Wears appropriate PPE which may include fall protection respiratory protection hearing protection foot hand head and eye protection.
  • Proactively promotes The McWane Way principles.
  • Lead the development and execution of a plant-wide preventive maintenance strategy.
  • Supervise the CMMS Administrator to ensure accuracy of work orders schedules and equipment data.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for equipment failures and implements corrective actions to eliminate recurrence.
  • Define asset criticality and appropriate maintenance intervals based on risk usage and history.
  • Monitor PM compliance backlog and KPIs such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair).
  • Collaborate with purchasing stores and maintenance teams to ensure appropriate spare parts availability.
  • Oversee post-maintenance reviews and refine PM procedures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Operations Engineering and Safety teams to ensure alignment on reliability initiatives.
  • Develop training programs for maintenance technicians to support PM best practices.
  • Utilize CMMS data to evaluate performance identify trends and drive decisions.
  • Support audits capital planning and maintenance budgeting related to reliability improvements.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES 

Directly supervises CMMS Administrator and others as assigned. Carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


Qualifications :

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE  

  • A bachelors degree in engineering; relevant preventive maintenance/program reliability experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Five years experience in industrial maintenance with at least 2 years in a supervisory or reliability-focused role.
  • Verifiable understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance practices and reliability engineering tools (e.g. RCA FMEA TPM RCM).
  • Proficiency in using CMMS systems and maintenance analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams drive cross-functional projects and implement sustainable improvements.


Additional Information :

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing lifting to 50 pounds balancing walking standing stooping and handling tools and materials.
  • The work environment varies from a typical office setting to a plant environment that may be hot cold dusty and noisy.  It is a requirement to be in and out of the plant on a regular basis.  As necessary must wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes glasses gloves hearing protection and hard hats.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
