Job Description
Were looking for a Software Engineer to join Procores Product & Technology Team. Procore software solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone in construction and the people within Product & Technology are the driving force behind our innovative top-rated global platform. Were a customer-centric group that encompasses engineering product product design and data security and business systems.
In this Software Engineer role youll act in a senior technical role with the responsibility of leading complex projects providing technical guidance and mentoring other engineers. You will focus on high-level design and architecture ensuring that your engineering team is aligned with the organizations strategic goals. Youll partner with Product Managers Designers and fellow engineers to develop and deliver innovative features leveraging cutting edge BIM 3D technology to address some of the construction industrys toughest problems.

What youll do:
- Focus on the development of product features leveraging Procores BIM technologies.
- Help establish standards for development teams and collaborate on initiatives with infrastructure platform and other software engineering teams
- Participate in designing and building systems and features that are aligned with Procores technical vision of a service-oriented architecture
- Drive innovation and change to accommodate enterprise and international customers for Procore across the organization
- Collaborate with Engineering Product and UX to design and build solutions that delight users and solve critical business problems
- Mentor fellow engineers in best practices reviewing their designs and code and helping them deliver high quality software
What were looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in software development with a coding language like C.
- Geometric Modeling: Parametric curves and surfaces (splines/NURBS).
- Data Handling: Engineering/CAD laser scans/photogrammetry GIS
- Having familiarity with file Formats: IFC RVT DGN GLTF and others
- Software/Libraries: Experience with tools such as MeshLab Open Cascade Assimp Open Design (ODA) and GDAL.
Additional Skills
- 3D Rendering
- Real-time Rasterization (PBR IBL)
- Spatial Acceleration Structures (BVH K-d tree octree etc.)
- 3D Graphics Techniques: Triangle meshes BREP point clouds Level of Detail (LOD) mesh decimation BREP simplification triangle mesh cleanup and optimization.
- Hardware-Accelerated Raytracing: Nvidia Optix DX12
