The Clinical Team Leader (AOD) plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of AOD service delivery ensuring the health needs of detainees with substance use disorders are met including those receiving Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) pharmacotherapy.
Leading the delivery of high-quality culturally responsive and person-centred AOD health services
Managing and supporting a multidisciplinary team overseeing clinical operations and driving continuous service improvement
Providing expert supervision direct care and leadership in assessment withdrawal management treatment planning and harm reduction strategies
Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring compliance with clinical standards quality benchmarks and effective resource management

A minimum of 5 years post-graduate non-telehealth experience in a clinical field including experience in AOD care
Strong understanding of contemporary issues in primary health service delivery within complex environments
Proven ability to interpret and apply relevant Commonwealth and State legislation policies standards and frameworks to ensure compliance
Previous experience in healthcare leadership or management roles
Solid knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and practices recognising that many individuals with substance use disorders have experienced trauma.
