Job Description
We are seeking an experienced developer with strong JSP and CSS expertise to work on the modernization of our trade finance platforms user interface. The ideal candidate will transform our legacy system into a vibrant modern application while maintaining functionality and enhancing user experience.
Our client is a Swiss-headquartered software development and IT services company supporting a global customer base through offices in Geneva London Singapore and Houston. It offers digital network and workflow solutions that overcome the shortcomings of todays trade finance ecosystem accelerating efficiency gains providing a benchmark data reference for the industry and delivering best-in-class value to end users through four product lines.
Position how youll contribute
- Lead the modernization of a legacy JSP-based trade finance system revamping it with modern UI/UX principles while maintaining robust backend functionality.
- Develop and maintain scalable high-quality Java-based backend applications in a complex enterprise environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand workflows and user needs translating them into technical solutions.
- Work independently to implement features and improvements even when specifications are incomplete.
- Ensure high standards of code quality performance and security throughout the development lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for architectural or UI/UX improvements and proactively propose solutions.
Qualifications :
Expectations the experience you need
- 5 years of experience as a Java Developer with a proven track record in building scalable high-quality backend applications.
- Experience with the Spring Framework and Java REST APIs.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Previous experience with JSP and frontend technologies such as HTML JavaScript and CSS.
- Familiarity with SOLID and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles.
- Experience in UI/UX improvements particularly in transitioning from legacy interfaces to modern designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong English communication skills both written and verbal.
