Job Title: IBDP or MYP Computer Science Digital Society & Digital Design Teacher

School: Good Shepherd International School (GSIS) Ooty Tamil Nadu

Onboarding: July 2025

Location: Residential Campus Ooty

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate IBDP Computer Science Digital Society and Digital Design Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in handling DP board batches and demonstrate expertise in delivering IB curriculum standards with a strong focus on real-world application digital ethics and design thinking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach IBDP Computer Science Digital Society and Digital Design courses with a strong emphasis on concept clarity innovation and inquiry-based learning.

  • Design and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with the IB Diploma Programme framework.

  • Guide students in their Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays where applicable.

  • Collaborate with the IBDP Coordinator and other faculty members to ensure interdisciplinary connections and academic rigor.

  • Stay updated with the latest IB guidelines and subject reports.

  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.

  • Integrate technology meaningfully into teaching and learning.

  • Support students in developing computational thinking coding digital ethics and collaborative project-based skills.

  • Engage actively in the residential school life including pastoral care evening prep duties and co-curricular initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Digital Design or a related field.

  • Professional teaching qualification (. or equivalent preferred).

  • IB certifications mandatory

  • Minimum 5 years of experience teaching the IB Diploma Programme specifically DP Computer Science and/or Digital Society.

  • Proven experience in supervising IB Internal Assessments and Extended Essays.

  • Familiarity with design tools programming environments UI/UX principles and digital technologies relevant to the subject areas.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for holistic education.

  • Willingness to live and contribute in a residential school environment.
