Entry Level Quality Engineer/Tech (Contract To Hire) - Kalamazoo MI
DISHER is partnering with a customer seeking a detail-oriented Entry-Level Quality Engineer/Tech to support their production operations. This a contract to hire role. In this individual contributor role you will develop and implement methods and procedures for process control process improvement testing and inspection to ensure products are free of flaws and function as designed. You will work independently with minimal supervision applying your professional expertise and judgment to maintain and enhance product quality.
What you will get to do:
Support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control and process improvement to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
Analyze quality reports and defective products to identify trends recommend corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with supplier representatives to address quality issues ensure effective corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.
Participate in health risk assessments as part of risk management activities related to products and processes.
What will make you successful:
Experience and competence with PPAP defect trend analysis non-conforming parts management and health risk assessments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
Understanding of process control process improvement and inspection methodologies.
Experience reviewing product and process changes and interpreting test reports.
Bachelors degree (BS) in Engineering required.
02 years of relevant experience in quality engineering production support or a related field.
Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering environment.
