We are looking for: Seasonal Medical Oncology & Cardiology Veterinary Assistant
Schedule: Week 1: Monday-Thursday 8am-6pm Week 2: Sunday 8am-6pm Monday 8am-6pm Tuesday 8am-6pm Thursday 8am-6pm
*This is a 3-6 month position with the potential to go full time or relief afterwards.*
Compensation: This position has an initial hiring range of $27.25 to $32.00 per hour based on skillset and experience.
Have you lost a loved pet to cancer and have a heart to help others avoid the same heartache This team develops strong bonds with our patients and clients requiring compassion and excellent patient Medical Oncology technicians will develop excellent venipuncture skills have high attention to detail and will gain experience in chemotherapy treatments.
What youll do:
- Assist with chemotherapy requiring excellent venipuncture skills
- Coordinate and manage client communication via phone and email
- Manage appointments obtain histories invoicing patient discharges scheduling
- Accurate and thorough documentation in medical records
Who you are:
- Prior veterinary experience required previous oncology experience desired
- Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)
- Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
