We are seeking a Truck Driver to join our Vaughan team on a 1 year fixed term contract to support our tool crib warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career in the construction industry. This role will give you the opportunity to learn from and work with experienced drivers inventory and tool managers purchasers and more!

Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver construction tools equipment and prefab (Plumbing heating and sheet metal)
  • Valid and current G drivers license with a clean abstract.
  • Valid and current TDG Training.
  • Valid and current telehandler certification.
  • 5-ton flat deck truck experience an asset.
  • Safe material handling rigging load securement required.
  • Assist with Tool Crib organization order picking material pick ups from suppliers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Strong work ethic self motivated.
  • Load and unload vehicles independently using a telehandler pallet jacks and hand bombing. 50 pound lifting capacity.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Safety Oriented with all aspects of work.

Skills & Experience:

  • Clean and valid G class license no air brakes required - ideally a minimum of 3 years and clean driver abstract
  • Experience driving a Flatbed
  • Ability to lift & push heavy objects (approx. 50-100 lbs.)
  • Knowledge of construction tools and equipment
  • Available to work between the hours of 6:00 am 3:30 pm
  • Strong communication skills confident interacting with key contacts in verbal written and electronic form
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to learn
  • Hard-working individual with a strong desire to learn and grow within this position
  • Safety conscience individual who respects and adheres to all safety measures
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as required
