Job Description
Job Title: Assistant Head of Department - Construction Job Responsibilities: Assist the Head of Department in managing and overseeing the construction curriculum and operational activities. Facilitate the development and implementation of innovative teaching strategies and assessment methods. Provide guidance and support to teaching staff to enhance the quality of construction education. Monitor student progress and provide academic support to ensure successful learning outcomes. Engage with industry partners to maintain current knowledge of trends and ensure curriculum relevance. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning for future developments. Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff within the department. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe learning environment. Essential Qualifications: A relevant qualification in construction or a related field. Experience in teaching and delivering educational programs related to construction. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Desired Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a teaching or educational leadership role related to construction. Experience in curriculum development and assessment design. Familiarity with current construction industry practices and trends. Experience in working with educational standards and quality assurance processes.
