Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is for a Sterile Processing Technician in an acute care hospital setting. The technician will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment ensuring their readiness for surgical and other medical procedures. This involves following established sterilization protocols maintaining meticulous records and adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
Location: Burbank California United States
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Maintaining inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Cleaning inspecting and assembling instruments and equipment.
- Operating and maintaining sterilization equipment.
- Following infection control procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Accurately documenting all procedures and maintaining detailed records.
- Participating in quality control and assurance measures.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in sterile processing (Specific requirements not detailed may vary by facility).
- Understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control procedures.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Certification in Sterile Processing.
Special Considerations:
- Rotating weekend shifts.
- No on-call requirements.
- No floating to sister facilities.
- All RTO (Request Time Off) must be submitted in advance with approval based on facility needs.
- First-time applicants are not accepted.
