Overview
The TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) Science position is a vital role in fostering a positive and comprehensive educational experience for students in the science curriculum. This role involves not just imparting knowledge on subjects such as biology chemistry and physics but also igniting a passion for inquiry and exploration in students. The TGT Science teacher will be responsible for creating an engaging classroom environment that encourages scientific reasoning and problem-solving abilities. Additionally this role is integral to promoting scientific literacy and developing critical thinking skills among students which are essential for their personal and academic growth. Collaborating with fellow educators parents and the community the TGT Science teacher will work to cultivate a positive school culture and implement curriculum standards effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in accordance with the science curriculum.
- Conduct classroom experiments and demonstrations to enhance practical knowledge.
- Assess student progress and understanding through regular testing and informal evaluations.
- Encourage a collaborative and respectful classroom environment.
- Provide individualized support to students as needed for academic success.
- Integrate technology into the classroom to aid in science teaching and learning.
- Organize field trips and laboratory activities to reinforce classroom teachings.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and challenges.
- Prepare and maintain classroom materials and resources related to science.
- Adhere to school policies and regulations while maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Participate in curriculum development and professional training opportunities.
- Utilize diverse teaching strategies to accommodate various learning styles.
- Foster a love for science through extracurricular activities and clubs.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate multi-disciplinary approaches to learning.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in science education and pedagogical techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Science Education or a related field.
- (Bachelor of Education) degree is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of science concepts across various disciplines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using educational technology for teaching purposes.
- Ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
- Familiarity with curriculum standards and assessment protocols.
- Adept at classroom management and conflict resolution.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators.
- Passion for teaching and inspiring students in science education.
