Job Description:
Position Summary:
Assemble or fabricate mechanical parts pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment per required specifications in a specific area of a manufacturing organization.
Supervisory Responsibilties:
None
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read interpret and follow basic blueprints diagrams and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products
Utilize handheld tools such as a hand-held screw and drill gun
Maintain inventory of product in workstations
Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
Identify product defects and ensure supervision is notified
Rework and/or repair assembled equipment per instructions
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Skills and Abilities:
Good verbal communication skills
Mechanical assembly experience
Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems
High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Technical or vocational training or certification a plus; may be required to pass basic skills test
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Physical Requirements:
Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
Regularly perform repetitive tasks
Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
Good vision and ability to focus
May be required to stand for extended periods of time

Salary Minimum: $40000
Salary Maximum: $50000
