Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing and we are looking to hire a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician working from our laboratory in Pittsburgh PA @ Nova Place location with a start date on or before August 14 2025.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Laboratory Histologist

A typical day for the Histologist entails performing basic histology tasks such as embedding cutting and routine H&E staining. Youll focus on dermatological and gastrointestinal specimens in a specialized reference lab handle quality control preventative maintenance SOP reviews and cut tissue microarrays (TMAs). Most of the day involves managing workflows cutting specimens and staining slides for accurate processing.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Requirements
- AA degree and/or Histotechnician (AA) in a scientific discipline or equivalent
- 2-5 years of clinical histology experience
- Track towards ASCP Histotechnician/Histotechnologist certification within 2 years
- Demonstrated technical proficiency scientific creativity collaboration and independent thought
- Knowledge of clinical histology lab methodologies regulatory requirements and laboratory techniques

SCHEDULE/TRAVEL
- This is a full-time position requiring an 8-hour day with a start time between 6:30-8:00 am (8.5-hour workday)
- Minimal Travel may be required (less than 5% of time)
