Position: Procurement Officer (Food & Equipment)
Industry: Retail Hospitality
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the purchasing of goods and services from an external source often via a tendering or competitive bidding process. He/She operates with integrity in a cost- effective manner while ensuring the quality reliability and timeliness of delivery.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct supplier and product research & evaluation to ensure the best products and suppliers in terms of value quality delivery schedules and compliance with terms of contracts.
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure the best deal implementing effective negotiation tactics.
- Preparing and managing purchase orders in accordance with the companys needs and budget; sending copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Monitoring and tracking orders to ensure timely delivery
- Understanding and applying the companys procurement strategy
- Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to applicable laws and regulations. Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications delivery times product ranges etc.
- Assessing managing and mitigating risks in procurement process. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
- To be aware of inventory quantities vs. consumption levels are sufficient for needs ordering more materials when necessary.
- Managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods timely delivery and compliance with terms of contracts
- Work on ad hoc reports and projects on demand.
- High level of integrity and ethics to ensure fair and transparent procurement processes.
SKILLS:
- Talent in negotiations and networking.t
- Well-organized flexible and able to prioritize tasks. Problem-solving skills.
- Good project management skills to handle multiple procurement processes simultaneously while ensuring that all specifications and deadlines are met.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Pack Office (Excel Outlook PowerPoint mainly)
- Aptitude working with numbers. Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
- Good communication skills dealing with our company requests and with suppliers
- Advanced Spoken and Written English and Khmer.
- Additional Languages are an asset
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 to 3 years experience minimum as a procurement officer or related position.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market.
- Desired BSc degree in supply chain management logistics or business administration.
Salary: $500 - $600
Location: Phnom-Penh (Office Russian Market & BKK1 Office at TIA Techo International Airport)
Contract type: Permanent
